A simpler life?

A long ago I started to think about retiring at some point to have a simpler life. After reading "Better Off - Flipping the switch on technology", I am now more convinced that it is something I will do in the future. How extreme? I still don't know.

Now. Being and engineer with a eavy tech education, a geek and working for a high tech company, it seems almost heretic, and even blogging about it seems to be a contradiction. - For that reason, I want to use this blog to share these ideas.
